Managing the security settings for any large system can be a complex and time consuming task. The HIEBus™ security model provides strong, granular security in a simple and easy to manage fashion. Our design offers four major advantages: User management interoperability; Role-Based Access Control; Hierarchical resource permissions; and Hierarchical Access policy management.User Management
The security model can manage users or can integrate with an existing user management system through brokered authentication. Integration with existing user management systems avoids duplicate account creation and management.
Role-Based Access Control
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) allows permission management to more closely follow an organization's structure and business activities. An administrator can create and organized roles in a hierarchical fashion representing the job functions in their organization. Users are assigned one or more roles, representing the job functions they perform.
